Resident Duties
In “Last Chance House” ALL residents will be assigned chores, and will be RESPONSIBLE for their completion.
Duties will change every Monday so each resident will know every chore.
- KITCHEN Wash all dishes, silverware, pots, pans, utensils and ashtrays. Wash counter tops, stove and refrigerator.
- BATHROOMS Wash mirrors, clean toilet bowls, wash shower floors, walls and doors. Fill toilet paper holder, paper towel and soap dispensers.
- GARBAGE Empty all wastebaskets (replace bags) and dispose of trash into outside garbage can. Clean up debris around the outside of the building. Winter time – keep all sidewalks other walkways free of snow and ice. Summer time – mow lawn if needed, water flowers, bushes and lawn if necessary.
- SWEEP AND MOP Sweep and mop all bathrooms, hallways and kitchen floors. Clean pantry area. Wipe down washer and dryer. Wash blankets, sheets and pillowcases of all residents, fold and put in cabinet.
- VACUUM Vacuum all carpeted areas of the house, including the office, bedrooms and main room. Also, clean all entry mats inside and out.
- DUSTING Dust and polish all tables and bookcases, wipe down woodwork, entry doors,windowsills, fans, air vents and picture frames.
It is the duty of all residents:
To set the table for dinner and clean up after dinner
To make coffee at ALL meetings.
To set up and take down all folding chairs for meetings
At certain times there maybe additional chores, such as window washing, cleaning walls and blinds etc … These will be assigned at the discretion of the custodian.
