Resident FAQ's

CURFEW!

1. Monday through Friday, out of the house by 8:00 AM.
   The House is closed from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Except for noon meeting).
   
2. All residents are REQUIRED to help set the table for dinner at 5:40 PM
   (when possible).
   
3. All residents MUST be at the dinner table at 6:00 PM SHARP!
   
4. Sat. & Sunday, all residents are to be up and dressed ready to do chores
   by 8:00 AM.
   
5. There is NO leaving the house before the Saturday or Sunday morning
   residents meeting.
   

REPONSIBILITIES BEFORE LEAVING THE HOUSE IN THE MORNING.

1. Beds are to be made.
   
2. Bathrooms are to be clean and in order (towels hung properly, floors
   wiped dry after showering).
   
3. If you have breakfast, all dishes are to be put away and counters left
   clean and in order.
   
4. If you would like to take a lunch to work, this too is fine, again just clean
   everything up before you leave.
   
5. Meeting room must be clean, no newspapers left out, coffee maker shut
   off and coffee pots washed.
   
6. All windows and doors closed and locked.
   
7. If you are not working or actively looking for work you MUST attend the
   noon meeting.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I COME HOME AT 4:00 PM?

When you get home please let the custodian or Board Member on Duty
know you are home. If your assistance is not required you may attend
the 4:30 meeting or read or watch TV.

WHEN CAN I TAKE A SHOWER?

1. 5:30 TO 7:00 AM
   
2. 4:00 TO 5:15 PM
   
3. After 10:00 pm any night.

IF I’M HUNGRY, CAN I HAVE SOMETHING TO EAT?

1. Before dinner snacks only. (fruit, crackers, cookies)
   
2. After 10:00 PM You may have any leftovers in the refrigerator (except
   for any notes on the fridge)
   
3. The freezer is off limits.
   
4. Food in pantry is off limits.

NIGHT TIME TV CURFEW

TV watching 4:00 PM to 5:40 PM, if assistance is not required for meal
preparation, and 10:00 PM to Midnight.

PHONES, CELL PHONES, BEEPERS AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES.

1. All phones and electronic devices are to be TURNED OFF before dinner
   or any meal, and not to be turned on again until ALL chores are
   completed. ALL cell phones are to be put in lockers before dinner or any
   meal until ALL chores are completed.
   
2. All phones and electronic devices are to be turned off 15 minutes before
   meetings and left off for 15 minutes after meetings

DRESS CODE AND CONDUCT

1. Proper dress code at meals and meetings means, No hats or sleeveless
   shirts, shoes and socks must be worn.
   
2. All residents who are not going to an outside meeting with their sponsors
   must be dressed and in the meeting-room one hour before meetings.
   
3. Dorm rooms are not a “HIDE-OUT”! No isolating! When you come
   home, clean up and go to the meeting-room or the 4:30 meeting.
   
4. When the “House” is open, ALL lockers MUST be locked! If your locker
   is found open, the first time your lock will be REVERSED. The next time
   a “House” lock will be put on it. Third infraction is grounds for
   expulsion!
   
5. Read night-time clean-up rules on refrigerator.

WEEKEND SCHEDULE

1. Saturday Morning, All beds are stripped down and mattresses sprayed
   with disinfectant.
   
2. All residents are to be dressed and at the table by 8:00 AM for a residents
   meeting. The chief resident chairs this meeting. Chores will be assigned
   by the chief resident. Any disagreements are settled at this time. If the
   
3. Custodian has to get involved to resolve these issues, then he will make
   the decision and it will be FINAL and not subject to discussion!
   Sunday Morning, All residents must be dressed and ready to do chores by
   8:00 AM.
4. Under NO circumstances do you leave the “House” until after the
   morning residents meeting.
   
5. After chores, unless you are watching the “House” for the weekend, you
   are free for the day. You are to be back one hour before the evening
   meetings.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE THE RULE LEFT UP TO THE RESIDENTS INTERPRETATION! ALL RULES ARE UP TO THE BOARD, BOARDMEMBERS AND THE CUSTODIAN, ONLY!
